The following patch will correct selected lock-ups when attempting to run you Sierra game. To confirm that this patch will fix your particular lock-up problem, set the date within your computer to September 17, 1993 or earlier. If you are able to play the Sierra game properly when the date has been adjusted, then applying this patch will allow you to operate the game without re-adjusting the date within your Macintosh.
If you continue to experience Lock-ups even after resetting the date to September 17, 1993 or earlier, then this patch will not correct the lock-up you are experiencing. Please refer to the Sierra Game Manual that came with your game or the READ ME file in the game folder for additional troubleshooting steps.
IMPORTANT NOTE - Remember to set the date within the computer back to the current date before continuing with the patch update to make sure the time and date stamp will be correct in the future.
APPLYING THE PATCH
To use the Sierra Patch Utility, Insert the Patch Disk into your internal drive when you are in the Finder. Double-Click on the Sierra Patch disk icon to open the disk window and see the contents of the disk. Double-Click on the Sierra Patch Utility Icon and follow the on-screen prompts.
To apply the patch to your Sierra game, locate the application icon for the particular Sierra game you wish to patch. Once the minature application icon appears in the dialogue box listing, click on the OPEN button. The patch program will now automatically update your Sierra game application.
